Basics of Music New for 2008
A class designed for the beginner, Basics of Music will cover just that: the BASICS of music. Treble and Bass clef note reading, counting and fundamental dynamics, tempo and directives will be covered. This class is essential for those students who wish to advance their musical skills to participate in choir, band, or private lessons. (Ages 7-10 and 11-adult) 10 sessions/semester; Wendi Dicken, instructor 

Keyboarding New for 2008
This class is for students interested in learning basic piano/keyboard skills. Using a small group method developed especially for Concert Arts Conservatory by professional musician and teacher, Wendi Dicken, the course will cover music theory, technique and repertoire as it pertains to the beginning keyboard student. (Class limited to 5 students, any age) 10 sessions/semester; Jessica Lange, instructor

Music Theory
This course begins where Basics of Music ends. Students will study harmony and musical form. If you have ever asked yourself how music is written or how harmony and melody come together to make beautiful music, this is the class for you! Through the study of music theory, you will be able to analyze the music used in choir or band with ease, making you an even more valuable asset to your performance group! (Ages 11 - adult) 10 sessions/semester; Wendi Dicken, instructor

Kidz Muzik
The Kidz Muzik adventure begins by meeting Quick Draw Quarter Note and is musical friends. From there, the “Kidz” go on a fantastic journey to find out how music is made, written, played and sung. Kidz Muzik has been a great success, and has lit up the faces of many children since its inception two years ago. Developed by Wendi Dicken and taught by Robin Robertson, this class gives children a firm foundation in music as they laugh, sing, play and bounce their way through each session. Musical Time Machine New for 2008
Music History Made Fun
This class was researched and developed by professional musician and teacher, Cindy Kessler, especially for Concert Arts Conservatory. Students will have the opportunity to explore the development of western music from its medieval roots through the classics, right up to “modern day” contemporary songs. (Ages 10 - adult) 10 sessions/semester; instructor: Cindy Kessler

Music and Me New for 2008
Developed by a team of professional artists, musicians, teachers and parents for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, this class is a multi-faceted arts class where students interact with their parents and teachers. Music and Me combines auditory, tactile, visual and kinesthetic teaching methods to reach every child in a relaxed learning environment. (All ages) 10 sessions/semester; lead instructor: Wendi Dicken (Assistant teachers TBA)

Class Voice New for 2008
The next best thing to private voice lessons, this course encourages students to acquire good vocal technique, hygiene and stamina. Originally developed for use by a college in Kalispell, Montana by vocal coach and director, Wendi Dicken, Class Voice will help singers build a solid technique for all genres of vocal music. (Ages 10-13 and 14 -adult) 10 session/semester; instructor: Wendi Dicken

Learn more about this wonderful style of music with instructors Wendi Dicken and Cindy Kessler. These classes will have several performance opportunities throughout the year. (Ages 14 - Adult, or permission of instructors.) 10 sessions/semester
