
Travis Evans
Musical Director of Choral Arts Singers
Travis Evans is Director of Music Ministries at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, MO, in addition to being the Artistic Director for the Choral Arts Singers. Previously he was was Director of Music at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in O’Fallon, Missouri for nine years where he oversaw the development of a large music program consisting of vocal, handbell and instrumental groups. He has also served as Director of Music for churches in Illinois and Nebraska and was part of the music staff at St. Charles Community College as an accompanist. Travis’ interest in music began at the age of 3 and he began formal instruction at the age of 12. He has studied choral conducting with Dr. James Henry, conductor of the Ambassadors of Harmony and head of the choral department at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, and has studied organ with Dr. Charles Ore, Dr. Theodore Beck, Dr. John Romeri and is currently studying with Dr. Barbara Harbach with whom he also studies composition. He will be graduating with a degree in Organ Performance from the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 2012. In addition to his choral conducting he has performed solo organ recitals in Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia, and Missouri. In addition to the organ Travis also plays trumpet, French horn, saxophone, and piano.

Heather McCarty
Musical Director of Choral Arts Youth
Heather was born and grew up in Salem, Illinois. She has been performing and directing since the age of 10. After graduation from Salem Community High School, where she was active in musicals and band, she was accepted at Eastern Illinois University. There she studied music education and voice under Professor Jerry Daniels and Professor Robert Hills.
Heather went on to teach K-8 music for the Moore County school system in North Carolina. After moving back to the Midwest, she became of member of the Choral Arts Singers, and in 2006 assumed the responsibility of Music Director for the Choral Arts Youth choir. Heather teaches music in the Wentzville School District, and serves as cantor at St. Patrick Catholic Church also in Wentzville.

Rebecca has studied piano for more than 11 years at the Townsend Music Studios in Ballwin, MO. She has participated in over 22 recitals, and has accompanied the Stages Repertory Theatre "Sing Broadway" classes in several performances.
